Class Information

ALL LEVELS MAT

A  mat class format suitable for beginners as well as experienced students that includes Pilates based movements.  This class introduces the participant to the basic biomechanical leverage concepts of movement.

 

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED MAT

A rapid-paced, flowing, cardiovascular mat class challenging the biomechanical leverage systems of the body. It is recommended that a participant has had prior exposure to Pilates based matwork and/or our All Levels Mat classes.

 

SPECIALTY CLASS

A revolving series of specialty classes incorporating fluid movement with a sensing focus.  The classes may incorporate matwork, seated or standing exercises emphasizing biomechanical movement principles.  Contact the studio for more detailed information.

 

SELF-CALMING™

A class emphasizing body mapping™ techniques designed to bring the nervous system to a parasympathetic state.

 

MOTIONSCULPT

A standing barefooted movement class incorporating the use of light weights or balls set to music.  This class emphasizes full range of motion, breath work, balance, alignment and biomechanical movement principles.

 

WALKING CLINIC

An outdoor walking class reviewing the principles of gait.  Walks vary from flat to hilly and range from 3-4 miles in length.

 

REFORMER CLASS

A Pilates equipment based class using the studio reformers.  Each class follows the classical Pilates neurological order moving the body through a series of exercises beginning supine and finishing standing.

 

EQUIPMENT CLASS

A Pilates equipment class incorporating the studio reformers, cadillacs, chairs, spine correctors and high barrel.  Prior Pilates equipment experience is necessary.

 

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED EQUIPMENT CLASS

A Pilates equipment class incorporating all of the Pilates equipment following the classical order.  This fast paced class emphasizes breathing, alignment, balance, control, coordination, maximum joint mobility and stamina.

 

CIRCUIT TRAINING

A cardiovascular and strength conditioning class and using rubberized resistance tubing, medicine balls, dumbbells and cable pulley weight resistance systems.  Emphasis is on total body movements, alignment, balance, coordination and biomechanical leverage systems.
